Meeting 1 | Introducing in a Business Event (English for Business - Topic 1)

Rifa: Hello, I don't think we've met. My name is Rifa Khairunnisa.

Ningsih: Wahyuningsih. Pleased to meet you.

Rifa: And what company are you from Mrs. Ningsih ?

Ningsih: I'm working at Teh Wangi. I'm the CEO for this company.

Rifa: Ah yes. I know your company. Your business is one of the biggest tea company in Indonesia, right?

Ningsih: That’s right. And yourself? Who do you work for?

Rifa: I'm the sales representative from Mayora. We specialise in the fast moving consumer goods industry.

Ningsih: What are the products in your company, Mrs. Rifa?

Rifa: The products in our company are biscuits, wafers, sweets and chocolates, coffee and healthy food. We're also as the pioneer of some products such as Kopiko, Astor and many more.

Ningsih: Ah i see.. Your business is expanding very rapidly at the moment.

Rifa: Yes, of course. We're doing quite well. But a very competitive one, Mrs. Ningsih.

Ningsih: That is true, my business is competitive too. We have to be able to compete with other companies.

Rifa: Definitely. 

Ningsih: Mrs. Rifa, let me introduce you to someone. This is Mrs. Rifa, she is the sales representative of Mayora. This is Arini, my sales manager.

Arini: How do you do Mrs. Rifa?

Rifa: I’m very well thank you, nice to meet you Mrs. Arini.

Ningsih: We’re gonna having a small dinner for some of our clients and colleagues after this. Would you like to join us?

Rifa: It's such an honour for me. Unfortunately, I have another engagement. So i can't join. Perhaps another time?

Ningsih: How about next week?

Rifa: That sounds great. Where shall we meet?

Ningsih: My secretary will send you the address. Here's my business card. You might give your one's too.

Rifa: Here it is. Alright, i’ll see you then Mrs. Ningsih.

Ningsih: Arini will join to our next meet too.

Arini: It's a pleasure for me.
