Guest complaining about the room
Receptionist    : Good evening, Ma’am. Is there anything I can1 do to help you?
Guest               : Yes, I want to complain about my room.
Receptionist    : What is it, Ma’am?
Guest               : I just checked in earlier and when I came into the room, the smell suddenly struck me. It’s cigarette smoke. The room smells like cigarette smoke.
Receptionist    : Could you please tell me5 what is your room number?
Guest               : My room number is 505.
Receptionist    : I’m sorry, Ma’am, but I’m sure we have cleaned it very thoroughly. Moreover, there are rules to not smoking inside the room.
Guest               : If you don’t believe me you can1 check it by yourself. Why would1 I have to lie? I can’t believe this hotel doesn’t treat their guests right. You can’t even air out a room properly!
Receptionist    : I’m very sorry, Ma’am. I believe you. I will4 see what we can do for you.
Guest               : I want another room! I want a deluxe room with a bathtub. Or else I’m going to2 give this hotel a bad review.
Receptionist    : Of course, Ma’am. I will4 see what I can do about that. Would you mind2 to wait for a while? I will4 talk to my supervisor.
Guest               : Please do it quickly. I want to take a rest. I must be sleeping3 right now in my room if this is not happened.

Receptionist talk to Front Office Supervisor
Receptionist    : Sir, there’s a guest who complaint that the room 505 smells like cigarette smoke. And she said5 she wants another room.
FO Supervisor : Did you already call the housekeeping team to check?
Receptionist    : No I haven’t.
FO Supervisor : Please call them to check the room first, if it’s really smells like cigarette smoke, we need to give her another room as soon as possible.
Receptionist    : Ok sir.
Receptionist    : Sir, I already call the housekeeping team. They said5 that it’s true the room smells like cigarette smoke. They think there must be4 a mistake in giving room to the guest. The room 505 is supposedly not available because the housekeeping supervisor haven’t double check the room.
FO Supervisor : All right please tell the guest that we will4 give her another room and the bellboy will4 come to escort her to the new room.
Receptionist    : Yes sir.

Giving the solution
Receptionist    : Ma’am, we have found a room for you. It is a deluxe room with a bathtub just like you asked. Here is the key for the room. It is on the 6th floor. The bellboy will4 escort you to your room and help you to bring your luggage.
Guest               : And what about the expenses?
Receptionist    : Because of this incident, your stay here is complimentary and we will4 reimburse your money when you checkout tomorrow.
Guest               : Now this is what I call quality service.
Receptionist    : I’m sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience, Ma’am. I hope you enjoy your stay. Please let me know if there’s anything else we can1 do to help you.

Antecedents of Pronouns
Pronoun adalah kata yang digunakan untuk menggantikan noun, noun phrase, noun clause, pronoun lain, maupun konstruksi lain yang berakting sebagai noun.
Di dalam suatu kalimat, kata ini dapat mengarah pada noun yang sudah disebutkan sebelumnya. Adapun antecedent adalah kata, phrase, atau clause yang dirujuk atau digantikan oleh pronoun. Biasanya posisi antecedent berada sebelum pronoun.
Contoh (yang berhuruf tebal adalah pronouns dan yang bergaris bawah adalah antecedents):
1.    Namjoon shows his own song to the other members.
2.    The teacher asked the students where they were going.

Pengertian Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement
Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement adalah persesuaian pronoun dengan antecedent dalam hal:
§  Number [singular (tunggal) atau plural (jamak)]
§  Person [1st person, 2nd person, 3rd person]
§  Gender [female (wanita), male (pria), neutral (netral)]
Singular antecedent menggunakan singular pronoun, sedangkan plural antecedent menggunakan plural pronoun. Begitu pula 1st person-nya menggunakan 1st person pronoun, dan female antecedent pun menggunakan female pronoun.

Dangling Constructions
Dangling constructions adalah sekelompok kata yang penulis maksudkan untuk menjadi modifier kata benda atau frasa, tetapi kata benda atau frasa tidak benar-benar ada dalam kalimat. Sebagai gantinya, modifier secara keliru menggambarkan suatu kata benda atau frasa yang ada dalam kalimat dan terkadang menghasilkan makna yang lucu.
Contoh dangling constructions:
1.    After eating on the street, her stomach usually hurts.
2.    While running, my shoe lost its heel.
3.    After eating, the waiter gave us the bill.
4.    To reduce fat, there are some popular diet programs that may be tried.
